While I was in the midst of the epic pressure washing of the house, Mrs. Freeholder started feeling a bit under the weather. It sounded like one of her favorites, a sinus infection. I continued to think that right up until that 100.5 fever showed up. So off to the doc-in-a-box. In the Bitty Burg, urgent care isn’t so urgent. She called first thing this morning and got an appointment for 6:20 PM. Oh well, we knew the urgent care required appointments, and at least it was the same day.
Since she’s feeling kind of bad, she asked me to take her. So I did, and I had to stay in the Jeep and wait for text messages. The first one was the announcement of the positive test. We went back and forth a bit, and then the doc came in, handed her the paperwork and asked if she had any questions. She said she saw him for about 90 seconds.
So for the next 5, or maybe 10, days, we’re grounded. There is some question in how long, because the doc told her since she was enjabcinated she only had to quarantine for 5 days. The paperwork says 10. So tomorrow we call to see which one to believe. One allows for Thanksgiving and the after Thanksgiving RV trip, and one doesn’t. *sigh*
But the good news is that for her, it’s not really bad sick. She does feel bad, but she’s able to get around fine, no breathing issues other than great gobs of unmentionable ick coming out of her head. Basically, a nasty sinus infection.
The kids are adamant that Dad needs to get tested. Dad is doing no such foolish thing until he’s showing some symptoms. Right now, I feel dandy, except for the excess wear and tear of 3 days of physical work.
Now that I’ve tempted fate, Wuflu in 3, 2, 1….
Hopefully normal blogging will resume. If not, you know where I’m at.
Fingers crossed, for both of you!
