Comedian Tim Young was perfectly content to wander through life in Condition White until life sent him 2 armed robbers, who relieved him of his wallet and “tossed him around”. A number of witnesses a half-block away failed to rush to his rescue. Considering this happened in still anti-gun Washington DC, they were likely substantially less well armed than the robbers, and wisely kept their distance from the festivities.
Now Young is seeking a concealed carry permit. “When you’re in an instance where there’s a gun is pointed at you and your life is being threatened for your property and no one’s going to help—and now I know that no one’s going to help—I want to feel more secure. I want to feel safe, and I have something to defend myself with.”
