I may not have the quote quite right, but I haven’t watched the movie in around a year.
In Harm’s Way is a 1965 Otto Preminger film based on the 1962 novel of the same name by James Bassett. Filmed in back and white at a time when almost everything was filmed in color, this choice won a Oscar award for cinematographer Loyal Griggs. Particia Neal won a BAFTA award for best actress in a foreign film. And that was it as far as awards for a film that may well have deserved more nominations, if not wins.
For those of you who know WWII history, you’ll find that many plot points that you can identify with actual WWII events. I’ll not point them out myself, on the off chance you haven’t played that particular game. Enjoy the movie, if for the first or 31st time.
