My Internet spies have sent me the following from the National Shooting Sports Foundation:

Citi Merchant Services and First Data Corp. are refusing to process any credit card transactions between federally licensed firearms retailers, distributors and manufacturers — a move which will severely limit available inventory of firearms and ammunition to military, law enforcement and law-abiding Americans.

In their letter of termination, Citi says they are terminating CDNN’s merchant account because of non-face-to-face guns sales, which Citi claims violate the 68 GCA. Thus, they are demonstrating their utter ignorance of both the law and how the firearms business legally operates. They are also taking $75,000 of CDNN’s money, which they are in control of, to fund “future chargebacks”. Of course, if none show up, CDNN can have their funds back in 6 months.
