I had given up hope of finding anything worthy of posting

This has been a poor week for posting–again. Sure, we have O’blah-blah and Pastor Wrong, our current economic spasms, Daddy Freakazoid in Austria and so on and so forth. Important, but just not blog fodder for me–not right now.

Then, out of the blue, I find a story that is just so incredibly sweet and mushy it ought to have me blowing my cookies. But it doesn’t. I must be getting maudlin in my old age….

Gary Frederick thought he had seen everything in 40 years at Central Washington University. He’d coached baseball and women’s basketball for 11 years, been an assistant on the football team for 17 and athletic director for 18.

Last weekend, he learned he was wrong.

And if you want to find out why he was wrong, go read and find out why Central Washington University Women’s Softball is a class act.
