Wake County, North Carolina has been in an upheaval for months over a school assignment policy that was meant to promote “socioeconomic diversity” in the school system. From watching it from here, it seems like everyone on both sides of the argument knew that it was really about an old ( and in my mind, discredited) policy known as “racial desegregation”.
Last November, the voters in Wake County decided that enough was enough, and they voted out enough of the bums on the school board to allow them to change the policy to “neighborhood schools”. Last night was the vote that actually tossed out the existing policy.
I tell you all that to tell you this, which is the interesting and somewhat sad part. After the actual vote, 20 students of the Wake County School System got got and started chanting “Hey, hey, ho, ho, resegregation has to go!” Now, if you’re as old as I am, that probably sounds familiar to you, variants of it having been a staple at anti-Vietnam war protests in the 60s and 70s.
Does anyone still think that large swaths of the US public education system haven’t been taken over by that same bunch (of morons), in order to “mold those young minds”? Anyone doubt what they’re being molded into? Anyone wonder why homeschooling is on the rise in so many places?
You can see it in all its neo-Socio-Communist glory for yourself here.
