The government hates competition. In this case, it’s competition for their “education lottery”.

The Senate resoundingly rejected the argument that sweepstakes parlors are a harmless cash cow for the state, voting Monday night in favor of a ban on the industry.

You know, in a “o-o-oh shiny!” moment, it occurs to me that the pharase “education lottery” would actually be more apropos to the public schools in this state.
