In one of the climatic scenes of “Atlas Shrugged”, John Galt, Dagney Taggart and company are in a plane, flying over a decayed and failing New York City when the lights go out. It’s a powerful scene, because the reader knows that the last great city in the world has fallen into a darkness from which it will not return any time soon. The looters have finally ran out of things to loot.
It seems that the EPA, in keeping with its many years of disconnect from reality, would like to try this scenario in the real world. Somehow, I don’t expect anything good to come from this.
Where’s all that “green power” when you need it?
