It may not be legal to do it now, but some time in the future you might want to have this manual on the basics of building a still around. You could always use it to distill drinking water.

B: a local distiller shifted their production to alcohol (denatured, I believe) for just that purpose as a community service. IIRC, they gave 60 gallons of no-longer-hooch to hospitals when the supply chain was all effed up. Darnright decent of 'em.
