As if there isn’t enough to worry about

Of course, that’s if one is inclined to worrying. I do my best to not worry. I think the time is better spent getting a good night’s rest, so you’ll be better able to think clearly and handle whatever problem that needs handling.

Yes, I’ve discovered that a good 8 hours sleep may be the solution to many of humanity’s big problem. But I digress.

It’s been really busy in the real world, and I haven’t made even a partial round of my blogroll in about forever. I’m not sure if I shouldn’t have held off. While the mainstream media seems to be ignoring the story for the most part, apparently the Congo has gotten itself in the early stages of rapid depopulation by means of Ebola.

Granted, this seems to happen in Africa with depressing regularity, but this time may be different. It seems that nasty little virushas managed to get a foothold in a city of 1 million people. The Raconteur Report has a number of articles on the subject-just keep rolling from that post toward the latest posts.

Some will say, “Hey, it’s in Africa, shy should we worry about it?” Because rapid international travel, for just one thing. If this thing gets loose we may all be auditioning for Survivors: The Road Show. Assuming we aren’t busy turning into a marginally contained puddle of human slime.

This is one to keep a close eye on.
