Representative Gabrielle Giffords has been shot outside a grocery store in her Arizona district. Given the nature of the shooting (in the head), one has to wonder about the motive. I hope this isn’t the start of something I’ve been afraid of.
Edit, 1625: Latest viaDrudgeis thatRep. Giffords has survived the shooting, contrary to many earlier reports. Apparently there were several “prominent people” in the crowd, so I’m still very curious as to motive. The shooter seems to have been captured alive, so we should find out something at some point.
