Jim Shepherd of The Shooting Wire points out that some military bases are still demilling spent brass rather than reselling it on the open market (per years of common practice) and that the company who seems to be at the center of this (follow the money, kids), ATK, is using scare tactics to promote the idea.
As he points out, this is in direct disregard for Congressional directives saying, in essence, “Stop that!”
One must wonder which side the base commanders think their bread is buttered on–and who they think their friends really are, not to mention where their duty lies. It’s disturbing to consider that in depth, given the current CinC.
