But if this story is half accurate, bring the troops home right now, because we’re going to lose too many of them in the name of political correctness. Yeah, I understand about not pissing off the locals. I understand that General McChrystal has a plan, and that the plan may well work in the long term. But that plan is being driven in the main by politics–collateral damage is bad press, and bad press ticks off the Community Organizer in Chief. While we wait to see if the plan works or not, our guys are paying the price in blood.
No more Vietnams. The military goes in, kicks ass and takes names. That’s their job, and they’re damn good at it. You want to build a country, send some community organizers.
