Watch for it

President Barack Obama returns to Washington next week in search of one thing that can revive his health-care overhaul: a sense of crisis.

Those who think that he is somehow magically above ginning one up just to help out his agenda have failed to read your history. Clinton and Bush both did so; the Big O will do so if he can. After all, we can use that crisis to accomplish great things.

Expect to see piteous stories about the lack of health care for the poor and starving masses, the unemployed who are just dying to get into a hospital, and other major exaggerations of fact. A hospital or two suddenly going broke wouldn’t be a big surprise. And don’t forget that H1N1 flu, coming soon to a school near you.

Wash your hands, cover your coughs, avoid the obviously ill if possible and ignore the health care hype.
