Well, it seems that the reaction to yesterday’s proposal to hand our Fearful Leader an off switch for the Internet is hitting its stride. People all over the country are having a “WTF!!!” moment. About damned time….
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is a fight for our freedom and our Country. I can’t see it as anything less. We’re going to have to fight at whatever level necessary to win.
In that train of thought, I want to present you with the highly condensed version of the other team’s playbook:
Rules for Radicals provides the organizer with a tactical style for community organization that assumes an adversarial relationship between groups of people in which one either dominates or is dominated.
“The first rule of power tactics is: power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.”
“Wherever possible go outside the experience of the enemy. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.”
“Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules. You can kill them with this. They can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”
“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also, it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage.”
“The threat is generally more terrifying than the thing itself.”
“In a fight almost anything goes. It almost reaches the point where you stop to apologize if a chance blow lands above the belt.”
“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”
“One of the criteria for picking the target is the target’s vulnerability … the other important point in the choosing of a target is that it must be a personification, not something general and abstract.”
“The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”

Don’t worry about “But that’s Saul Alinsky!” or that those are the rules that Communists, Socialists and terrorists play by. In World War II, the Allies, in essence, tossed out a goodly portion of the rule book in order to defeat Hitler. Cities were deliberately destroyed, even when no major military targets were present, in order to demoralize our enemy. In the War of Northern Aggression, Grant set Sherman (*spit*) loose on the South with orders to to destroy the Confederacy’s will to fight, and Sherman made his famous March To The Sea, which is remembered in these parts over 150 years later. Please note who won and who lost in these cases. It’s a tactic that any thinking person would rather not employ, but when it’s a fight to the death, better theirs than yours.
Make up your mind–would you rather dominate or be dominated? That’s how the Left is looking at this, and the sooner you figure that out and start employing their own tactics against them, the sooner we can start putting them back in their proper place–out of power.
