Old school stealth

Top stealth-plane experts have re-created a radical, nearly forgotten Nazi aircraft: the Horten 2-29, a retro-futuristic fighter that arrived too late in World War II to make it into mass production.

While I’m not sure they’ve got the nomenclature correct (I’ve always seen it as the Ho 229), the plane was intended to be a “miracle weapon” that would allow Nazi Germany to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Decades ahead of it’s time, the last remaining plane stagnates in the possession of the National Air & Space Museum.

I find it interesting that so many of the experts just can’t bring themselves to admit that maybe “stealth” wasn’t a “modern” invention. Why, no one could have done it before our advanced technology….
