When their government couldn’t get the job done, the people of California took care of themselves. It’s good to know that despite living in one of the nanniest states in the US, the spirit of their forebearers lives on.
As a California friend of mine once told me, there is the California we always hear about and the California we never hear about. For once, we get to hear about the “never heard abouts”. Nicely done, folks.
