You have to wonder, when a company like General Motors is only worth $7 billion–1/9th as much as MacDonalds. Sure, GM has more than its share of problems right now, but come on….
One thing for sure–I’m glad my limited financial resources are mostly in things other than stocks. When a manufacturing company with plants, equipment, inventory and tens of thousands of employees is worth less that a chain of burger joints, I think it says something bad about the “wisdom of the markets”.
