Yeah, I’m getting to be a sorry gun blogger, that’s for sure. However, I’d like to make up for that in a small way, by introducing you to Leroy:
Leroy is a c. 1946 Llama 1911 in .22 LR. Leroy was named by his former owner, because, as he said, Leroy is a pimp gun.
Yes, I am the proud owner of a pimp gun. Please note the chrome everything and the mother-of-pearl grips, along with the small caliber. To go along with the small caliber is Leroy’s small stature–roughly of mouse-gun size. Quite pimp-y, I think.
However, Leroy has a purpose in his life, besides protecting my stable. Leroy has all the appropriate 1911 controls in all the appropriate places, meaning that shooting Leroy can be a cost-effective substitute for shooting a full-size 1911 and that getting more expensive every day .45 ACP ammo.
Now, to complete the package, I need to get a pimpmobile to get to the range. What do you think of this one:
