Every so often, I go through my entire blogroll, just to see if these folks are still in the game. As I’ve noted here before, I don’t add people to my blogroll for any reason but the simple fact that I find what they have to say interesting. I may or may not agree with them, but I find their writings worth my time to read, even if it is just occasionally.
Today I have time to actually read in depth from each blogger. Here’s a few of the things I’ve found:
- Dr. David Yeagley, the Bad Eagle, has some wise words on Islam and immigration. He speaks from historical experience. As an American Indian, his people lost their land due to unchecked immigration–of us Europeans.
- Patrick Hughes has a book out. Good luck, fella.
- James Dakin ponders on voluntary simplicity.
- Dave Markowitz has found a new CQB scope for his AR.
- GuyK has some words of sympathy for Mexicans who are upset over the failure of the US Senate to pass an amnesty bill for illegals.
- John Dvorak reports that New York City (“Get a rope.”–remember that one?) is going to require a license and insurance in order to…wait for it..no, it isn’t driving or selling fake Rolexes on the sidewalks…take pictures or video. They assure us that no tourists will be harmed in the enforcement of this law. I always wanted to see NYC sometime, but if I can’t safely take any pictures or video, why bother?
- Chuck celebrates the second anniversary of the first time he died. Really.
- The Heartless Libertarianopines on pistol grip styles.
- JD Pendry has a strong urge to stock up on food and ammo. Who can blame him?
- Karen De Coster chronicles the continuing collapse of Detroit. The end is near, folks.
- David St. Lawrence finds a lesson in an abandoned building.
- Michael Bane notes the approaching anniversary of Robert A. Heinlein’s 100th birthday. I hope the campaign to get a destroyer named the USS Robert A. Heinlein is successful.. I can see the SF geeks lining up to volunteer for the Navy–but only if if they can serve on that ship.
- Michael Yon has graphic evidence on the subject of “Why Islamic terrorists must be killed”. Not for the weak of stomach or mind.
- Capt. Teach has the full story on the Ann Coulter/Elizabeth Edwards spat.
- Sheila has a montage of NYC photos. I hope she has her license and insurance.
- Yosemite Sam indicts President Bush.
- David Codrea brings the news that Wayne Fincher was convicted and sentenced to 6 1/2 years in prison for possession of “banned weapons“. I had completely missed this.
- Xavier has the ultimate cold case.
Lots of good stuff out there. Go enjoy a few.
