Not that it’s a surprise, but Useful Idiot/SpanishPrime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero is making good on his campaign pledge to withdraw Spain’s combat forces from Iraq.
Let’s be clear about this–I don’t give a good hoot about any appearance of having an international coalition in our fight against terrorists. My big question is what is Spain going to withdraw from when they get hit again? And they will–they’ve already shown the terrorists that they can be pressured.
“This decision should not affect bilateral relations between Spain and the United States,” [Foreign Minister] Moratinos said.
My Sweet Aunt Fanny it wouldn’t. But of course, I doubt that Washington will see it that way. Would you care to place a bet on whether or not there are any repercussions in US-Spanish relations?
